The place is definitely a good spot to go and unwind. The ambiance is great the music they play is mellow and beautiful. It was not too packed and the was enough outside seating and the view is great. Really not much on their menu to eat but my son had the best sliders and enjoyed them.

We enjoyed our time at Z on 23 — the space is stylish, the rooftop view of downtown Houston is solid, and the overall vibe was relaxed with a good crowd. It’s definitely a cool spot to unwind, especially on a weekend night. One thing to note: there’s a policy that requires a 100 minimum spend if you want to sit at one of the tables. It’s not unreasonable, especially on busy nights, and if you're with a group of four or more, you're likely to hit that minimum without even trying. Still, it would be helpful if this rule was made clearer up front. All in all, a great place for drinks with friends, as long as you’re aware of the seating policy.

OMG the food, Chef Trinity, our waiter Greg (best ever) and asst Manager Murdock, are the best! We enjoyed everything. And can we talk about the food. Lord....so damn good. Come on and get the wagu burger. You won’t be sorry. We will be back. #GirlsTrip2023

Becca and Benny are absolutely amazing! The drinks are delicious and their food is very flavorful! Looking for a vibe and an amazing view, this is the place to be. Heaters are available in the winter and umbrellas in the summer.

This is to give credit where credit is due. I had the support, pleasure, and down right amazing experience at Z on 23. And this is all thanks to one Bar tender named Julie... A little bit of backstory. I was coming into Houston for some work and had just lost my iPhone. Now I'm not an iPhone user originally and had been used to android this whole time. I was trying everything under the sun to hunt this device down. I called reception to ask if they could call the coach I came in. They said it wasn't there... I had tried googling for options using the business center at the hotel but to no avail nothing. I gave up and thought maybe there is nothing I can do. So with tears about to come out I thought maybe I'd keep them down with a drink on the rooftop bar. That's where I met Julie. See, I explained my situation and Julie went out of her way to help me out when quite literally she could have just empathized with me given me a drink (which of course I paid for with my card cause I at least still had my wallet). She helped me message others who had my location and we managed to track the phone down to still being inside the hotel. Found later to be stuck between the seat cushion of some chairs that me and some friends were at when we got into the hotel. With phone in hand I ran back to the bar to enjoy my success with friends and stayed till close with great conversations and even better drinks. If anyone has the chance to pay this rooftop bar a visit Julie and the team will definitely look after you. Thank you so much for looking out for me. And anytime I'm in Houston, you'll definitely catch me with a drink at Z on 23... This is a cozy little rooftop bar with a few eats. The views of the city are really nice, as is the appeal for these kinds of places. We tried some of their food too, specifically their mushroom arancini and pizza dough bites which were both delicious. We also had a variety of drinks that were made fairly well.

The view is great, the vibe is great, but the drinks are expensive and just ok, served in plastic cups and super basic. You are paying for the environment for sure! Minimal food menu, you’re better off getting your main drinks and food elsewhere and then coming here to hang out. But it’s definitely worth at least an hour of hanging out up here! Plus they have fun party music playing in the evening and sometimes live music. Overall for sure recommend for the experience!
